Thirsty

I am no stranger to a good time in Tallahassee and usually it is coupled with getting a few drinks with friends. I may be less picky about my bars than I am about my restaurants, but here are a few of the places I frequent.

Liberty - Hipster
What this place lacks in interior decorating it makes up for it in food and beverage quality. They change their small plates frequently and have highly desirable cocktails at a reasonable price.

Level 8 - Classy
Get here early if you are over the college scene. This place is great for a rooftop happy hour with business clients and a place to meet fellow professionals.

Wine Loft - Classy
Tapas and a great wine list, what more could you ask for! Perfect for a breezy fall day with an outdoor balcony that overlooks the main street in midtown. The flatbread with fire roasted tomatoes and goat cheese.

Brass Tap - Beer
Beer, beer, and more beer! Deck-style outdoor seating available, live music, and an extensive craft beer offering.

Sidecar Gastropub - Hipster
The sushi restaurant in Market Square (just north of I-10) has taken over the neighboring retail space and converted it into a popular bar scene. They have great specials and delicious charcuterie boards, the Italian being my favorite. They also trade out their beer taps and encourage microbrews and seasonal beers.

Proof - Microbrewery
Proof just opened up their brewery in Railroad Square and maintains it's hip craft beer appeal. I describe this bar scene as a cool backyard party with ping pong and patio furniture. Serves beer only.

101 - Restaurant - Downtown Get Down
Young professionals and stylish coeds find themselves mingling between two dining areas and an adjacent bar next door. Martini specials and great happy hour appetizers deals.

Avenue - Classy - Happy Hour
Small and elegant away from the main stream but still downtown. They serve up specialty drink concoctions and amazing bloody mary's.
